The filter uses biological， mechanical and chemical filtration to promote water quality and clarity. The integrated diffuser with adjustable water flow nozzle can create uniform surface movement， preventing the formation of biofilm while adding aeration. The filter foams are located in separate modules that you can remove while the pump and heater stay in place in the aquarium， making for easy maintenance. An extra chamber at the top of the filter unit contains activated carbon foam that removes toxins and odors. You can even customize that filter chamber with fine and fleece replacement foams (sold separately).
